The rooms were large and WELL equipped. They featured modern touches. I was actually surprised one evening when my bed was decorated with a beautiful butterfly and rose petals, such a sweet gesture for a solo traveler.

Really good Hotel Stay

I found the grounds very beautiful and clean. This resort reminded me of an escape. Water was provided every day. This was needed as the temperatures reached 43c. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. The room cleaning service was amazing. The attendant organised everything effectively.
I thought the evening meal was a little less excellent for the price. It seemed like a missed opportunity, especially given the high standards in other areas.

The location offered convenient access to key attractions. It was only a short taxi ride to the Souq Waqif. This made exploring local culture very easy. The Pearl Island was also easily accessible.

Decent Facilities, Lacking Hospitality
poor serviceinconsistent staff
I found the staff inconsistent. Some were friendly, but others did not act like I was a valued guest. On arrival, I had to serve myself coffee, with no real welcome. At breakfast, I was told to wait outside for an outdoor table, instead of waiting inside. The lifeguard shouted at my kids near the jacuzzi instead of explaining the rules. It seems staff training falls short of other comparable hotels.
